Explore Snowy Trails

Put on your snowshoes and let our expert guides lead you along scenic paths. We’ll begin our trek from the northern slope of Monte Pierfaone, heading towards the ridge near Serra Giumenta. Our journey will take us to the summit of Monte Arioso, towering at 1709 meters.

When we reach the top, you’ll be greeted by one of the most breathtaking views in Basilicata. As we pass through a stunning beech forest, you’ll be able to admire the iconic peaks of the Lucanian Apennines, with a panoramic view stretching from the rolling hills of Matera to the deep blue of the Tyrrhenian Sea.

 

A Complete Experience with the Chairlift

During our adventure, you’ll also have the chance to enjoy a thrilling ride on the chairlift, taking us from 1450 meters to 1700 meters on Monte Pierfaone. From there, we’ll continue our snowshoeing journey toward Monte Arioso, ensuring a memorable experience through the snow.

Meet the guide at the starting point, where your adventure begins. After a brief introduction to the route and safety measures, it will be time to strap on your snowshoes and get ready to set off.

The hike will take you through enchanting snowy landscapes and picturesque coniferous forests, while the guide reveals fascinating facts about the flora and fauna of the Lucanian Apennines National Park, making every step an opportunity to discover the nature around you.

Return to the Starting Point

At the end of the snowshoeing excursion, you'll return to the starting point to conclude this unique and unforgettable experience.

• Cancellation or Postponement Due to Adverse Weather Conditions:
In the event of adverse weather conditions, such as heavy rain or thunderstorms, we reserve the right to cancel or postpone the excursion to ensure the safety and comfort of all participants. Safety is our top priority.

• Cancellation Policy:
Cancellation requests must be sent via email to ota@martulliviaggi.com.
A full refund can only be granted if the cancellation request is received at least 3 days before the scheduled tour departure date. Otherwise, the full tour cost will be charged.

• Cancellation Within 3 Days of Departure:
If the cancellation occurs within 3 days of the tour departure date, 100% of the tour fee will be charged as a cancellation penalty. This policy is in place to secure service bookings and cover any expenses already incurred.

The tour is available only if there is snow, so bookings may be canceled or rescheduled by the organizer due to weather conditions.
