Arrival at Bari airport or train station and transfer to the hotel in Policoro.

With the start of the Basilicata Tour, you will immediately immerse yourself in the authentic atmosphere of the region, ready to discover local traditions and flavors. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel will prepare you for the adventures ahead.

Grottole and Miglionico – Workshops and Tastings

After breakfast at the hotel, the Tour of Basilicata continues towards Grottole, where you will admire the historic Church of Diruta, a symbol of the local community since 1508. Here, you will meet the locals at the Castle and participate in various workshops.

  • Pasta Workshop: Learn to make homemade pasta, savoring the culinary tradition.

Salandra and Pisticci – Wines, Cheeses, and Crafts

The Basilicata Tour continues in Salandra, with a visit to the ancient cellars carved into the rock, perfect for the production of natural wines. After a stroll through the historic center, the experience concludes with a wine tasting paired with local products.

Next stop: the “La Mucca Nera” Dairy, where you can become cheesemakers for a day and taste local cheeses. In the afternoon, visit Pisticci, famous for its Rione Dirupo and its artisan workshops. The day ends with a special dinner at the restaurant L’Incontro.

Matera and Conclusion of the Basilicata Tour

The final stop of the Basilicata Tour will take you to Matera, the city of the Sassi. A local guide will lead you through its millennia-old history and rock art. At the end, a transfer will take the travelers back to Bari, with the memory of an authentic experience in the heart of Basilicata.

Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to Grottole, where you can admire the Chiesa Diruta, a symbol of the Grottole community built in 1508; then meet the locals at the Castle, where guests can rediscover local traditions through various workshops:
Honey Workshop: Grottole is known as the “City of Honey,” and therefore, a hands-on experience about bees, the hive, and honey itself is a must, concluding with a delightful tasting.
Pasta Workshop: Homemade pasta demonstration to discover different pasta shapes.
Embroidery/Crochet Workshop: A chance to revive the manual crafts of the local grandmothers.

Transfer to the "La Mucca Nera" dairy farm, where you can become a cheesemaker for the day and taste local dairy products.
