The tour starts from Via Volta, a central and easily accessible point in the city of Matera. Here, participants meet with the regional certified tour guide and are introduced to the unique charm of the Sassi di Matera.
The first stop of the tour takes visitors to Via San Francesco, in front of the majestic church of the same name. This moment allows for admiring the architecture and understanding the role that churches have played in the history and daily life of the Sassi.
From Piazza del Sedile, the group begins the descent into the Sassi di Matera, one of the oldest and most fascinating areas of the city. Along the way, visitors can admire the rock architecture and picturesque streets.
The tour continues along a scenic route that winds through the narrow alleys and streets of the Sassi. This stretch offers breathtaking views of the city and allows participants to fully immerse themselves in the unique atmosphere of the place.
